Bye Bye Dada

Wonders galore when a non-performing ass(et) is kicked off from a team can very well be gauged from the complete transformation undergone by the "Men In Blue" against the cricketers from Emerald Isle.Dada's exclusion, whether by fate or otherwise seems to have done a world of good to "Team India",the very team he painstakingly built (as claimed by his fanatical regional bhakts).

Considering that Indian team was reeling from the aftermaths of the betting scandal,Dada did a good job no doubt. But why is he given the credit when there were others involved.John (not John Abraham more popular as the muse of Bipasaha Basu), John Wright to be particular and his support team had large part to play.Definitely, India did well under gangu's captaincy, but it was also the period when Dravid,Sehwag and others were at their prime. He blooded youngsters Yuvi(he better move to acting with his dashing looks ..Maybe his starlet girlfriend Kim may help him land some roles),Kaif,Sehwag,Harbhajan..Thats ok..but what other options did he have?
I would not have become such a big Dada basher had his caustic row with Chappell not surfaced..he went public when there was no need to be so vocal..everybody knew he was down in the dumps(to hell with "for is temporary,Class is permanent")..his ass was to be kicked out of the team ..he made a valiant painstaking century against the most "lethal" gully bowling attack in the world.and lo he goes to town proclaiming his return to form..and attaking Chappell..That was the worst and most probably his last blunder in his cricketing career..No favoritsm, regional bias,no Dalmiya could save his ass then.

God I'm so relieved that Dravid has made good use of the limited opportunities he has got..Maybe now that the series has been clinched, dada can enter the team as a "Super-sub" in ODIs or better still as 12th man in tests, bringing drinks for the team he nurtured..that'll be retribution for the time when he rejected taking drinks for the team early in his career!!

It goes without saying,dude...whether you agree or not. He indeed had painstakingly built this 'Team India'.

"Considering that Indian team was reeling from the aftermaths of the betting scandal,Dada did a good job no doubt. But why is he given the credit when there were others involved?"

... Oh yeah? And The 'wall' is doing everything all alone, huh? There is no Chappel, no Frazer and no Kiran 'Motherfucker' More?
He has just got a well-built, readymade team, exactly the same way Steve Waugh had inherited the unbeatable Team Australia from Mark Taylor. The credit for single-handedly building the team can be taken away neither from Ganguly, nor from Taylor.

"John (not John Abraham more popular as the muse of Bipasaha Basu), John Wright to be particular and his support team had large part to play.Definitely, India did well under gangu's captaincy, but it was also the period when Dravid,Sehwag and others were at their prime. He blooded youngsters Yuvi(he better move to acting with his dashing looks ..Maybe his starlet girlfriend Kim may help him land some roles),Kaif,Sehwag,Harbhajan..Thats ok..but what other options did he have?"

Alright, dude. just eliminate these "dada's favourite" players such as Yuvi, Veeru and Bhajji from the "Wall's" team and see what remains there. In case your memory is weak, Rahul 'The Wall' Dravid was once dropped from the Indian ODI squad and was out for more than a year. It was Ganguly who insisted on bringing him back as a wicketkeeper-batsman so that he can play with an extra batter and that had worked wonders. It was the Ganguly-Wright combo that found the perfect winning combination for the men in blue. Dravid-Chappel are just building on that. Yuvi, Kaif, Bhajji, Sehwag, even Dhoni got into the team because Ganguly wanted them to stay there. More than once Yuvi almost got himself out of the team but only because of Ganguly's insistence he could stay back and regain his form. Same with Bhajji.

"I would not have become such a big Dada basher had his caustic row with Chappell not surfaced..he went public when there was no need to be so vocal..everybody knew he was down in the dumps(to hell with "for is temporary,Class is permanent")..his ass was to be kicked out of the team ..he made a valiant painstaking century against the most "lethal" gully bowling attack in the world.and lo he goes to town proclaiming his return to form..and attaking Chappell..That was the worst and most probably his last blunder in his cricketing career..No favoritsm, regional bias,no Dalmiya could save his ass then."

Agreed. He was down and deseved to be out at that time. But he regained his spot in the team by virtue of his domestic performances. He scored more runs than the 'Wall' in Delhi and again this time in karachi and looked far more confident and comfortable as well. I don't care if you'll agree with me but that's what Boycott, Imran, Gavaskar, Miandad and Akram also felt, said and wrote. I hope you now won't start claiming that you know and understand the game better than these stalwarts. And if you seriously think so , better go and see a psychiatrist, dude.
And, as far as taking out the dressing room spat to the media is concerned, it indeed was his mistake. Agreed.Make no mistake, I'm not by any means a dada-bhakt and can criticize him for what he really deserves to be criticized, but still I'm a thousand time more reasonable and unbiased than people like you. What about the series of 'proven lies' Chappel had told - starting from faking injury to groupism in the team?

"God I'm so relieved that Dravid has made good use of the limited opportunities he has got..Maybe now that the series has been clinched, dada can enter the team as a "Super-sub" in ODIs or better still as 12th man in tests, bringing drinks for the team he nurtured..that'll be retribution for the time when he rejected taking drinks for the team early in his career!!"

How did you know that he rejected to take drinks in the early days in his career? This was what the then manager Ranbir Singh Mahendra (who till a few days back was the BCCI chief)had reported. It might or might not be what actually had happened. He was dead against Ganguly's inclusion in the team in that tour of '92. Four years later, when Ganguly came back in the team and consolidated his position, he had said mahendra was the "worst man he has ever come across". Nobody, not even the skipper Azhar, vice captain Shastri and coach Sandeep Patil had confirmed that ganguly indeed refused to carry drinks. Het your facts right, dude, before you point finger at someone.

    P.S. :
'I think theterfore I am' is your weblog's name. Yeah you are what you are because your thoughts like "I'm not mentioning the one and only DADA as I'm a very big hate fan of an opportunistic cricketer like Ganguly and moreover, since he's a Bong to the core" are so ugly and discriminative. You indeed are what you are. An educated yet uncouth 'Bihari', after all. Sorry, I tried not to sound regionalistic but just couldn't help. So pathetic people like you are. Shame on you.
